NoFuss Transcriber is an audio and video transcription tool that converts recordings into accurate, editable, searchable transcripts. Upload an audio or video file and get your text back in minutes - with speaker recognition, export options, and transcript organisation built in.
Is NoFuss Transcriber free?
Yes. The free plan includes three hours of audio and video transcription per month with access to all core features including speaker recognition and export. No credit card required.
What does the Pro plan include?
Everything in Free, plus unlimited transcription, Collections, and up to 3 active jobs at a time. See full plan comparison here.
Who is NoFuss Transcriber built for?
Anyone who records conversations and needs to work with them afterwards. Journalists and researchers doing interview transcription, founders and teams who need meeting transcription, salespeople reviewing call transcription, and anyone else who regularly converts audio to text as part of their work.
How is NoFuss different from other audio transcription tools?
Most transcription tools stop at the transcript. NoFuss keeps going - speaker recognition and diarization, a People archive for recurring speakers, Collections for organising transcripts by project, synced audio playback, and multi-format export, all in one place without switching between tools.
What audio and video file formats does NoFuss support?
NoFuss supports most standard audio and video formats including MP3, MP4, WAV, MOV, M4A, and more. If your phone, recorder, or meeting platform produced the file, it will most likely work.
How long can my audio or video file be?
There is no hard cap on file duration. Longer files take more processing time. Free accounts include three hours of audio transcription per month.
Which languages does NoFuss Transcriber support?
NoFuss supports audio and video transcription in over 98 languages including English, Hindi, Spanish, French, Arabic, Japanese, German, Portuguese, Indonesian, Turkish, Korean, Italian, Dutch, Polish, and Swedish. Auto-detection identifies the language of your recording automatically.
Can I transcribe audio in one language and get the output in English?
Yes. Enable Auto-Translate to English when uploading and you will receive both the original language transcript and an English translation together.
How accurate is the audio transcription?
Accuracy is strong in clean recordings across a wide range of accents and speaking styles. Background noise, overlapping speakers, and poor recording quality will reduce accuracy. Every transcript is fully editable so you can fix anything before using it.
My recording has background noise and overlapping speakers. Will it still transcribe?
Yes, though noisy recordings and heavily overlapping speech will affect accuracy. Select a higher quality transcription model when uploading to improve results, and use the transcript editor for final corrections.
Does NoFuss Transcriber identify who is speaking?
Yes. Automatic speaker recognition - also called speaker diarization - separates voices and labels each turn in the transcript. You can rename speaker labels to real names once transcription is complete.
Can I listen to my recording while reading the transcript?
Yes. Audio playback runs alongside the transcript once transcription is complete. The transcript is time-linked to the audio - click any word in the text and playback jumps to that moment in the recording.
What formats can I export my transcript in?
Transcripts can be exported as TXT for plain text, DOCX for Word documents, SRT for subtitle files, and VTT for caption files. All export formats are available on both free and paid plans.
What are Collections?
Collections are folders for grouping related transcripts. Create a Collection per story, project, client, or team and add transcripts to it at any point. Faster retrieval and better organisation for anyone managing large volumes of audio transcription.
Can I save a speaker and access all their transcripts in one place?
Yes. Add any speaker to People and every transcript linked to them is accessible from their profile. Useful for journalists managing interview subjects, researchers tracking sources, or teams with recurring clients and meeting participants.
Is my audio and transcript data secure?
Yes. Audio files and transcripts are stored in managed cloud infrastructure with authenticated access controls. Only your account can access your workspace and transcript data.
Who can access my transcripts?
Your transcripts are private by default. Only your account can view them. You can share an individual transcript by generating a private link for that specific file.
What happens to my data if I cancel my Pro subscription?
Your Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period. Your account data and transcripts remain unless you choose to delete them.
